The Mosquito Magnet® Independence runs on 4 “C” batteries, so no external electrical power is needed, allowing placement of the unit away from the family area yet near the mosquitoes' breeding and resting areas.  Through proper placement upwind, the biting insects will be drawn to the trap, thereby reducing the chances of you becoming their target.  The heavy-duty plastics and marine grade metals make it ideal for any harsh environments.

Its one-button operation and easy assembly make using the Independence so simple and convenient.  For optimal results, run your trap 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in order to break the breeding cycle of the Mosquitoes in your yard.  Your trap will begin working immediately with noticeable results in 7-10 days.  Allow a 4 week time frame to see significant results. 

As with the other Mosquito Magnet® traps, the Independence uses our patented Counterflow Technology™.  This technology allows the trap to emit a precise plume of CO2, heat, and moisture that attracts the biting insects to the trap, while simultaneously vacuuming them into a net where they dehydrate and die within 24 hours.  

The Mosquito Magnet® mimics a large mammal by emitting a plume of carbon dioxide, heat and moisture, which when combined with an additional attractant, Octenol or Lurex3, becomes irresistible to mosquitoes, no-see-ums, biting midges, black flies and more.  By using one of these approved Mosquito Magnet® attractants, you will be able to increase your catch rate up to 10X.
